In September of 2021, Hope House received the largest gift in the history of the organization. Our friends and partners at Mercy Housing transferred ownership of the St. Catherine Residence at 1032 E. Knapp Street to Hope House of Milwaukee. We are now administering their program for single women that are in need of assistance with living quarters and rent payments. We are also housing 10 families on the brink of homelessness at St. Catherine’s in partnership with Milwaukee County.  In the most flexible of family programming, these families receive an apartment unit and supportive services, with the opportunity to focus on themselves, their goals, and gain independence on their terms.
